As one of Russia's oldest communities, Vladimir has a rich heritage—and a solid foundation on which to build a prosperous future. The City has access to ample raw materials, and it has a well-educated workforce. In addition, it is centrally located on major transportation routes with easy access to the Moscow and St. Petersburg markets and the rest of central Russia.

Vladimir is a historical city dating back to the 1100’s, with today’s focus on the development of tourist attractions while maintaining an impressive focus on the arts and education. Vladimir became a Sarasota Sister City in 1994.
